Make-A-Wish foundation and Lowd Suga' are teaming up to raise money to help make wishes come true. Click on photo to view larger This is Terri Ann Fester. She is 16 years old and a sophomore at Maine West High School in Des Plaines, IL. Terri Ann is a surviving twin born 10 weeks premature. She spent her first 96 days of life in the NICU at Lutheran General Hospital. One of the things that happen with premature births is Cerebral Palsy. Terri Ann uses a wheelchair, but at home can use a walker to get around. When she was 6 years old she was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome, a rare type of pre-leukemia. Her only chance for survival was to have a bone marrow transplant. Her then 3 year old twin brothers were tested and Kurt turned out to be a match. It has been ten years since her transplant. Terri Ann recently found out she has a brain tumor. Because of it’s position, it is inoperable. She can’t tolerate chemotherapy because she only has one kidney. She is, however, undergoing radiation treatments. Terri Ann has been hospitalized 17 times and has had 13 surgeries. She is an amazing young lady, a true miracle, whom we look up to everyday. Five years ago Terri Ann was granted a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation and she and her family took an amazing vacation to Hawaii. Make-A-Wish allowed Terri Ann to forget about cancer, doctors, hospitals and blood tests. We have dedicated this necklace to Terri Ann. Her true spirit is in these words. Everyday she “Lives, Loves and Laughs” and we are so blessed to have her in our lives. Ari and Heidi are donating 10% of all proceeds from this necklace to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Terri Ann’s favorite foundation! Thank you to everyone for your support of Lowd Suga’ and for Make-A- Wish! We all love you Terri Ann. You are in our prayers everyday!
